Top NFL running backs of 2013
The NFL sweet 16 continues with the running backs. The running back position has been devalued over the years in the NFL. More coaches are using the running back by committee approach and the new offensive philosophy has hindered a the great running games of past eras. Still, the best teams bring the lumber with tremendous ground games.
Adrian Peterson will his team to a playoff berth by rushing over 2000 yards. While most fans think the running game isn't sexy, it is when it's done right. The emergence of San Francisco and Seattle nflcardinalsofficialshop.com/Logan_Thomas_Jersey_Cardinals in the past few years is a blessing to the NFL. Frank Gore and Marshawn Lynch are big and powerful running backs with great durability.
There are also running backs with pure break away talent like CJ Spiller, and the newcomer David Wilson. It will be interesting to see if Wilson can crack the starting lineup and become the go to guy for the New York Giants.
In 2013, the NFL has a couple of young horses that are ready to make their mark for their respective teams. Montee Ball of the Denver Broncos and Eddie Lacy of the Green Bay Packers were drafted to help boost the running game.
